TIGERS WOMEN VS SOLENT SUNS II - 17/02/08
The away trip to Solent was an important game for both sides as both had chances of play-off contention beckoning, with Solent particularly well placed as 2nd in the league. The 2 previous encounters had resulted in very competitive games, with Solent taking the spoils in each game. Given the Tigers excellent win of the previous week, it was disappointing to travel with only 8 players, due to holiday commitments.

TIGERS WOMEN VS BRISTOL STORM - 26/01/08
After two great wins against Cardiff and Leicester on the 2 previous weekends, Taunton Tigers Ladies entertained Bristol Storm at home in an effort to make it 3 wins in a row at National League level - another first for this young side. The wins of the previous weeks meant that Tigers were more confident in tackling their closest derby side, particularly having won their 2 previous games against their luckless opponents, who had pushed many sides in the league, but were still awaiting their first victory.

TIGERS WOMEN VS LEICESTER CANNONS - 20/01/08
The away trip against Leicester was an important game for both sides as they were level on points and both had started well after the festive break. Given the Tigers excellent win of the previous week, it was somewhat disappointing to travel with only 8 players, due to work and academic commitments. That said, the players traveled in high spirits and in a confident mood for the game. Although Tigers had eased a win after overtime against Leicester in their 1st encounter – the previous score of 39-37 did not point to a high scoring game.

TIGERS WOMEN VS CARDIFF CELTS - 12/01/08
After a somewhat disappointing run of games in the run up to the Xmas break, with narrow 5 point loses to both Solent and Plymouth, Tigers have returned to winning ways in their opening 2 games in January. The spate of early season injuries to key players was a real cause for concern in the early weeks of the season, with long term injuries affecting Laura Dyke, Abby Pow and Aimee Brook.

TIGERS WOMEN ROUND UP - 16/11/07
After their fine start to the season, including 2 great wins against Plymouth Raiders, the Tigers Women have found things haven't gone quite as planned of late. The early season injuries to key players have been a real cause for concern over the early weeks of the season, with long term injuries affecting Laura Dyke, Abby Pow and Aimee Brook. Whilst this has provided coach Steve Green with the opportunity to blood junior players, the constant chopping and changing has not helped results on court as the Women have now experienced 3 straight back to back defeats against Solent Suns, Black Country Bears, and leaders Cardiff Celts, plus lost away to Britain's top women's team, Rhondda Rebels in the National Cup. In all the defeats against Div 2 opposition, Tigers have dominated the opposition in segments of each game, but have not sustained pressure throughout and, whilst scoring more freely, have disturbingly continually leaked valuable points at the defensive end.

TIGERS WOMEN VS PLYMOUTH RAIDERS - 20/10/07
Following on from their last second win the previous week, Taunton Tigers Women met their close rivals Plymouth Raiders once again in another hard-fought local derby at Wellsprings last weekend in the National Cup. The same 2 sides had met at the same stage of the competition last year, when Taunton shaded the result by 1 point, in fact in all league and cup games between the 2 teams, neither side had beaten the other by more than 3 points – another extremely tight game was to be expected, with the prize for the winner an away trip against the foremost side in the UK, Rhondda Rebels.

TIGERS WOMEN VS PLYMOUTH RAIDERS - 14/10/07
After 3 cancelled or postponed games, Taunton Tigers Women's season eventually started with a difficult local derby against closest rivals Plymouth Raiders. No Taunton Tigers Womens side has ever beaten the well-established and more experienced side Raiders in any previous National League encounters. The last meeting of these teams, in the pre-season tournament resulted in a narrow win for the Tigers. However, this was not a form pointer for this game, given Raiders strong start to the league season.
