COACH HEATH WINS COACH OF THE YEAR - 01/06/07
Taunton Tigers’ rookie season in the second division saw them land a Playoff Final position against fellow Div 2 newcomers, Team Northumbria and this has helped Ronnie Heath (right) earn Coach of the Year honours for the season. Despite losing in the Playoff Final to Northumbria 75-67, Heath’s Tigers had a successful season finishing 3rd with a 15-7 record and earning promotion to the men’s top flight for 2007-08! Coach Heath commented: "Voted by the other teams in the league this award recognises the acheivements of the club in gaining Division 1 status. It means that the National Basketball world appreciates and supports what we are trying to do in the heart of the Somerset Community. I got a call from a close basketball friend to congratulate me and suggest I'll win it again if we don't get relegated next year! I took it with good humour but we have to use these comments to fuel us for the incredible challenge next season."

TIGERS MEN 2006/2007 SEASON REVIEW
I just wanted to take the opportunity before our last game of the season to say a huge thank you to all our supporters, sponsors and volunteers that have allowed us to have had such a successful season. Despite all my talk of potential and promises of development and performances, the truth is that we have surpassed even my own expectations and the wildest dreams of the club. To stick with the same group of home grown players is always justifiable in the long term but it is the individuals personal improvement coupled with our team ethos that have allowed us to achieve so many short term gains.
