WELLSPRINGS LEISURE CENTRE

When The Taunton Tigers re-entered the national league in 2004 they quickly adopted Wellsprings as their home Venue. Wellsprings Leisure Centre is attached to Ladymead school off Cheddon road in Taunton and construction was finished just in time for the begining of the 04/05 season. It is by far and away the best venue in Taunton for basketball and one of the best venue in our league. There is seating for up to 330 people and a balcony that runs the entire length of the hall. We are proud to have such a nice Venue to call our home but for many years the club struggled to find a suitable gym to play their National League games. Originally it was Blackbrook Sports Pavillion and at some stage or another the Tigers played home games in nearly every sports hall in Taunton and even moved to Street for half a season! The club still uses other Gyms in Taunton, mainly the recently refurbished Somerset College and the new Richard Huish College Dome.
