ABOUT US
The Taunton Tigers Basketball club has been running for over 2 decades and has come a long way since its humble beginings. The club has always been the backbone of basketball in Taunton, providing coaching and opportunitys for young players to develop as well as providing a high standard of basketball for senior players in the area. Our focus is very much on developing players at the grass roots level to enable them to be successful in the future wherever they may be. Our current senior mens team is made up of a majority of local players that have come through the Tigers junior teams and academys. Tigers currently have 6 different teams competing in National League Basketball at all different ages and levels. The club has a strong relationship with the community which we promote by running different events such as basketball camps and tournaments.
VOLUNTEERS
We are lucky enough to have a large number of people who volunteer for the Tigers, doing various jobs that are vital to running the club and making it the success that it is. From game day staff, setting up, clearing away, collecting tickets, recording stats, commentating, to all the people behind the scenes, securing sponsorship, organising fixtures, driving minibuses to away games, planning fund raisers, socials and doing many many small things which all benefit the club. If we had to say what our 'club' is it's the people involved that make it the community that it is and we are very proud of that. We are always open to any suggestions on how we can improve or if you think you have something to offer please let us know, we would love to hear from you.
